About Me
I'm Emiliano Gandini, a Computer Engineering student at Universidad de la República. I like building things that work well, make sense, and solve real problems. Most of what I create comes from wanting to learn something new or improve how something works.
I focus on both Frontend and Backend, but i enjoy Backend quite a bit more. I've used tools like Python, FastAPI and PostgreSQL to build everything from simple utilities to full apps. I'm interested in how systems behave, how data flows, and how to make software that’s clean, efficient and easy to maintain.
What matters to me is learning by doing. I care about writing code that makes sense, that others can understand, and that can actually be used in the real world. I don't try to reinvent the wheel unless there's a good reason.
About My Portfolio
My portfolio includes personal projects and tools I’ve created to learn, address specific needs, or experiment with new technologies. It reflects how I approach software: focusing on understanding the goal, selecting appropriate tools, and building solutions that work well.
Right now, I’m learning Django in depth and just starting with Flutter and Dart. The portfolio features projects like InsightGrid, a customizable platform for data handling designed for practical use cases.
I’ve also worked on smaller projects like discord bots and scripts to explore different technologies and automate tasks. I make sure to document my work to explain the purpose and process behind each project. I will be expanding my project list on the following months.
